MANNING SKATE PARK

Public BBQ

Manning Skate Park feels like Perth's weathered uncle of skateparks - beloved despite its rough edges. The sprawling concrete playground offers something for everyone, from tentative beginners to hardened veterans tackling the intimidating high rails. The half-pipe dominates the space, though veterans lament it wasn't extended into a proper bowl. The park's age shows in delightfully quirky ways: ledges sit at odd angles that challenge conventional grinding, and the transition coping bears the weathered patina of countless sessions. What it lacks in pristine surfaces, it compensates with character and generous space for proper runs. Night sessions are particularly rewarding thanks to excellent lighting.
